September Overview
September
was an odd month. Some awesome stuff happened, and some horrible stuff
happened, and I was very busy, so I didn’t read a lot. But, I did take
pictures. There was a lunar eclipse, and the dogs went to a new dog park.

Books I Read
Here
are the 6 books I read. Instead of sticking to the TBR list I gave myself in
August, I just picked random books on my shelf that had “the” in the title and
read those.

Tentative October TBR
Carry On comes out in a few days! I don’t usually
flail about books, but I’m flailing about this one. It’s my most-anticipated
release of 2015.
Over
the past few years, I’ve been collecting books that have won the Printz Award.
I just counted my Printz books, and I own all but 4 of the winners. I’m going
to read (or reread) them because I want to review all of the Printz books. I’ll
probably start doing that this month.
All The Things
All The Things (AKA number of unread books on my TBR shelf) = 36 books.
I’m
currently reading The Sound and the Fury
by William Faulkner.
I'm so jealous that you got to see the eclipse! I tried, but there was so much cloud coverage that we couldn't see the moon at all. Oh well. Better luck next time! I hope you have a successful October! :D

This is the first eclipse I’ve ever seen that didn’t have clouds in front of it. I think it was snowing during the last one.

A reread / review of the Printz winners sounds great! I'll be interested to read your thoughts.
ReplyDeleteI hope it’ll be interesting. It’s been a long time since I’ve reread some of those books.

Amazing pictures!! I love the view of the mountains one. I can't wait to get to The Martian this month. Hope you have a great October!
ReplyDeleteI’m also looking forward to The Martian. I think it’ll make a great movie.

Sorry to hear about those horrible things that happened - hope the good things outweigh them in the long run! I got some fun pictures of the lunar eclipse too!

That harvest moon picture is beautiful! Sorry to hear that September wasn't a good month for you. Wishing you a happier October.
ReplyDeleteWow, great pictures of the eclipse! I am reading The Sacred Lies of Minnow Bly right now. It is really good. I also enjoyed The Martian, way more than I thought I would. I am excited to see the movie
