FF Friday: In Which I Get A Superpower

Feature & Follow is a weekly blog hop hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read.

This week’s question: If you could have any superpower, what would it be?

Answer: This might be the lamest power ever, but I’d want the ability to understand every language. I feel like I’m missing out on things by only being fluent in English.

For example, I’ve heard that only 28% of the world’s books are published in English. There are more books published in English than in any other language, but I’m still missing out on 72% of the world’s books because I can’t understand them.

Also, I would be able to sing the Frozen song in 25 languages, like in this video:

The follow part: If you are a book blogger and you leave a link to your blog in the comments below, I will follow you on Bloglovin’. I’d love it if you also followed me. If you want to be friends on Goodreads, TwitterBookLikes, or G+, that would be awesome, too. Click the links to go to my pages on those sites. I’m looking forward to “meeting” you.

  1. I think that is a pretty cool superpower!! I would never have thought of that. I am not sure what I would go with - too many options!

  3. I know what you mean! I am one of those people who strongly believe in things being lost in translation, and there is a whole world out there teeming with books and conversations and words in different languages which we couldn't possibly begin to grasp in English. So not a lame power at all!

I do a happy dance every time I get a comment. (You should be grateful that you’re not around to witness this dance. It’s truly horrifying.) Leave a link to your blog so I can visit you.
