On The Blog Last Week

On The Blog This Week

  • On Monday we talk about Game of Thrones Season 7.
  • On Wednesday I review History is All You Left Me by Adam Silvera.

In My Reading Life

Last week, I finished reading Good Bones and Simple Murders by Margaret Atwood and My Grandmother Asked Me to Tell You She’s Sorry by Fredrik Backman. Right now, I’m reading The Bombs that Brought Us Together by Brian Conaghan.

In The Rest Of My Life

Five things that made me happy last week:

  1. Game of Thrones. Are you sick of hearing me mention this show yet? Don’t worry, it’s almost over.
  2. It was cloudy during the solar eclipse, but it was still pretty cool.
  3. I took so many pictures last week. Now I have to sort the blurry from the non-blurry.
  4. I saw Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them. It was . . . fantastic!
  5. Lots of people are entering my giveaway. Make sure you enter, too.

Take care of yourselves and be kind to each other! See you around the blogosphere!

  2. There can never be too much Game of Thrones chat! Can you believe that the season finale is upon us??? The wait is going to be terrible for season eight! I really need to watch Fantastic Beasts. I bought the dvd when it came out but haven't seen it yet.

  3. Ooo I adored Fantastic Beasts! My friend gave me My Grandmother Asked Me to Tell You She's Sorry for my birthday months ago but I've just let it gather dust on my shelf...I should probably give it a go!

  4. We watched Fantastic Beasts last week too. I wasn't sure if I wanted to after some reviews has slagged it off but I loved it.

  7. I still haven't seen game of thrones. I feel like I might be one of the only people left who hasn't. The eclipse here was cool. We were at 90% totality and it was totally cloudless. But it was like 95 degrees that day so it was kind of hot!

  8. Game of Thrones ha ha! Do we ever get sick of it?? Looking forward to your thoughts on tonight's episode!!! I just read your review of shadow and Bone too, since I'm reading Six of crows and was curious. I'm a little underwhelmed so far? But I agree with you about generic fantasy- it all seems so the same...

    Anyway have a good week!!

  9. You are so organized. I have done a post for tomorrow and hope by the evening to have done three for the week, but we'll see. I have a lot to do: At least three more from Scotland, a couple from a trip to NC, and one about my new kayak and how I ended up being eaten alive by red ants... I better get to work. I have not seen a single episode of Game of Thrones.

  10. I just looked at your Shadow and Bone review and I AM CRYING FOREVER! I'm so sad that you didn't love it! A lot of questions about Alina are answered later in the series ;) But yay for loving Fantastic Beasts! It's such a great movie!

    Here's my Weekly Recap!

  12. I am glad you enjoyed the eclipse despite the clouds. Boo for the clouds not cooperating with you though. I watched most of Fantastic Beast when my daughter was watching it and it looked good. I need to sit down and focus on it soon.

  13. Happy Blogiversary! Don't know how I'm doing it, but I'm holding back on watching eps of GOT 'til after the season finale so I can binge watch them. Hasn't been easy though lol. As for Fantastic Beasts, I hear the second movie is going to be even better, ah! I'm so excited for it :).

  14. My husband and I watched Fantastic Beasts last night for the first time and quite enjoyed it!

  15. I took 320 photos during the eclipse and probably another thousand over the course of our week long road trip to Wyoming! So I hear you with the needing to sort through them all. Come see what I'm reading.

  16. I'm glad you liked Fantastic Beasts! I thought it was a really well done film. :)

  17. It was so cloudy here that the eclipse didn't look like anything at all. We were pretty disappointed because you couldn't even see it with the eclipse glasses, and I was surprised that it really didn't seem to get darker---it was just too hard to tell based on how cloudy it was. Oh well. Guess we'll wait 93 years for the next one in our area. :-)
