The Sunday Post #64

The Sunday Post is hosted by The Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to recap the past week, talk about next week, and share news. It’s Monday, What Are You Reading? is hosted by Book Date. I get to tell you what I’ve read recently.

On The Blog Last Week

On The Blog This Week

  • On Monday I review Brides of Eden: A True Story Imagined by Linda Crew.
  • On Tuesday I list some awesome YA books I’ve read recently.
  • On Wednesday I review Furiously Happy: A Funny Book about Horrible Things by Jenny Lawson.
  • On Friday I let you choose what I read next.
  • On Saturday I have a book haul.

In My Reading Life

I didn’t get too much reading done last week. I finished I Am Nujood, Age 10 and Divorced by Nujood Ali. Then I made it most of the way through The Phantom of the Opera by Gaston Leroux.

In The Rest Of My Life

Five things that made me happy last week:

  1. I went hiking.
  2. So much book mail.
  3. I took a bunch of pictures (that you will probably see in my September wrap-up).
  4. New South Park starts on September 14. I love that show.
  5. I’m working on my last giant assignment of graduate school.

I hope you had a good week! See you around the blogosphere!

  2. Just read your review of Nujood on Goodreads. Sounds like a sad and powerful topic, but sorry the writing wasn't your favorite.

  5. I've never seen south Park. That seems weird but I just never have. And book mail is always a good thing. Hope you have a nice week, and I'm curious about Furiousy Happy.

    1. Thanks! I know a lot of people who have never seen South Park. I think you have to have an odd sense of humor to “get” it.

  6. South Park!! Gosh, somehow I've forgotten about it. No, I also don't know how. Just read your review on Harry Potter and share your sentiment. I still want to read Furiously happy - really seems like a fun read. Hope you will have a good week ahead and here's my Sunday Headlines: http://marelithalkink.blogspot.co.za/2016/09/the-sunday-headlines-1.html

    1. I’m glad your little guy enjoyed his hike. It’s good to get away from technology and hang out in the woods for a while.
