The Sunday
Post is hosted by The Caffeinated Book
Reviewer. It’s a chance to recap the past week, talk about next week, and
share news. It’s Monday, What Are You Reading? is hosted by Book Date. I get to
tell you what I’ve read recently.
On The Blog Last Week
- On Monday I had too many thoughts about Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.
- On Tuesday I quoted my favorite fictional character ever (Homer Simpson).
- On Wednesday I reviewed Geek Love by Katherine Dunn.
- On Saturday books happened.
On The Blog This Week

- On Friday I let you choose what I read next.
- On Saturday I have a book haul.
In My Reading Life
I didn’t get too much reading done last week. I finished I Am Nujood, Age 10 and Divorced by
Nujood Ali. Then I made it most of the way through The Phantom of the Opera by Gaston Leroux.
In The Rest Of My Life
Five things that made me happy last week:
- I went hiking.
- So much book mail.
- I took a bunch of pictures (that you will probably see in my September wrap-up).
- New South Park starts on September 14. I love that show.
- I’m working on my last giant assignment of graduate school.
I hope you had a good week!
See you around the blogosphere!

Just read your review of Nujood on Goodreads. Sounds like a sad and powerful topic, but sorry the writing wasn't your favorite.
ReplyDeleteNicole @ Feed Your Fiction Addiction
Yeah, it’s an important story, but I wish I knew who was telling it.

Best of luck on your writing assignment. The title for Nujood has me curious and I'll be sure to go check out your review.

I've never seen south Park. That seems weird but I just never have. And book mail is always a good thing. Hope you have a nice week, and I'm curious about Furiousy Happy.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I know a lot of people who have never seen South Park. I think you have to have an odd sense of humor to “get” it.

South Park!! Gosh, somehow I've forgotten about it. No, I also don't know how. Just read your review on Harry Potter and share your sentiment. I still want to read Furiously happy - really seems like a fun read. I love your five things that made you happy last week ~ I love to hike too. We took our little guy last week and he loved it. He was clapping and laughing the whole time!
ReplyDeleteI’m glad your little guy enjoyed his hike. It’s good to get away from technology and hang out in the woods for a while.
