September Currently . . .

Here’s what I’ve been up to in September.

I’m Currently . . .

Reading: All The Bright Places by Jennifer Niven.

Watching: Book-to-movie adaptations. I’m not a big movie fan, but I have HBO right now, so I should probably use it, right? I’m also watching all the horrible reality shows: Survivor, Hell’s Kitchen, Project Runway, Worst Cooks In America, 90 Day FiancĂ© . . .

Stalking: Are you guys following Boats Against the Current? If you’re not, you should be. Laura writes interesting discussions and has a very pretty blog.

Looking forward to: October. It’s my favorite month. I love Halloween, and cold weather, and crunchy leaves, and bonfires, and ghost stories, and the lull before the Christmas storm. Basically, I’m one of those annoying people on social media who obsesses over all the fall things.

Exercising: Are you sick of hearing about Couch to 5K yet? I’m doing the training slower than I’m supposed to, but it’s actually working! I’ve always been a terrible runner (just ask my high school gym teachers), so I’m impressed that I’m learning how to run a 5K.

Enjoying: Hiking in the mountains. It makes me happy to get away from technology for a weekend.

Photographing: I can’t go hiking without dragging the camera along.

Eating: Caramel apples and Nutella strawberries. If there’s a way to make healthy food unhealthy, I can find it.

Blogging: I’m going to be traveling at the end of this year, so I’m trying to blog ahead. If you have any recommendations for tags, memes, or discussion topics, I badly need them. I’m going to be on a blogging hiatus for most of November, but I don’t want the blog to be *crickets, crickets.* I’m blogging as fast as I can to get ahead.

Laughing at: Twitter. I tweeted about my patronus and was promptly followed by a company that makes nacho cheese. *Insert lame nacho cheese joke here.*

What have you been doing in September?

    1. LOL, you’re right. Survivor is one of the better reality shows. Some of them are mind-blowingly awful.

  3. Mmm nachos lol. Love 'em. And yeah it's so funny (and tiresome) how a post will inspire some company/ spammer/ whatever to follow. Sometimes I'm like where do these people come from?

Nice pics! Looks like a beautiful area. And as for tags, I've seen a Stranger things tag (not sure if you've seen that show) and a creatures of the Night tag (for Halloween) around- don't know if either of those is of interest.

  4. I keep hearing about All The Bright Places, but have yet to pick it up. I think it's because I'm worried about the hype surrounding it ruining the experience for me. I hope you're enjoying it!

Great pictures from your hikes - it's lovely to be out in nature, especially this time of year when things are cooling down!

I love the sound of your fruits. Haha!

    1. I was also nervous about the hype, but I ended up loving the book. For me, it lived up to the hype.

  5. I have All the Bright Places on my TBR, can't wait to hear what you think of it :) Such a beautiful scenery! I tried hiking once and it totally killed me, I scraped both my knees from falling down a rocky slope, out of breath for climbing so much and I started hiking at 4am just to catch the sunrise. Nevertheless, it was such a fantastic experience and I get why people love to hike! Would definitely hike again once I've build more stamina :P Happy October!

  6. Aww, thanks so much for mentioning my blog! I'm so glad you find my discussions interesting :)
I love October too, although it is still pretty warm here, which is odd this time of year! I feel like by October I should be wearing my coat and bundling up in a blanket at night but it's disappointingly warm :(
And I love your photos! It looks so pretty and scenic there :)

  7. LOVE your hiking pictures. I'm so jealous right now! Congrats on your Couch to 5K progress. I never actually finished the whole program, but I DID manage to run a 5K anyway. I ran slower than some people walk, but I managed to run the whole thing, which is AMAZING for me! :-)

  8. Beautiful photography! I've been trying to dabble in nature shots as well but I think my DSLR is on its last leg.
