This week’s question: What is the first book you remember reading?
Answer: I hated reading when I was a kid and did everything in my power to avoid it. One of the first books that I remember reading on my own and actually enjoying was The Boxcar Children by Gertrude Chandler Warner.
The Boxcar Children - Gertrude Chandler Warner
The Alden children begin their adventure by making a home in a boxcar. Their goal is to stay together, and in the process they find a grandfather. (Dang it, Goodreads, that is a terrible summary, and I don’t have time to write my own. The book is better than that. I promise.)
I remember being so excited when I found out that there were sequels to this book. Unfortunately, I hated all the sequels. Even as a nine-year-old, I was a passionate book snob.
The follow part: If you are a book blogger and you leave a link to your blog in the comments below, I will follow you on Bloglovin’. I’d love it if you also followed me. If you want to be friends on Goodreads, Twitter, BookLikes, or G+, that would be awesome, too. Click the links to go to my pages on those sites. I’m looking forward to “meeting” you.
