The Sunday Post is hosted by The Caffeinated Book
Reviewer. It’s a chance to recap the past week, talk about next week, and
share news. It’s Monday, What Are You Reading? is hosted by Book Date. I get to tell you what I’ve read recently.
On The Blog Last Week
- On Monday I reviewed Company of Liars: A Novel of the Plague by Karen Maitland.
- On Tuesday I talked about what I’d eat if I was fictional.
- On Wednesday I reviewed The 19th Wife by David Ebershoff.
- On Saturday there was a book haul.

- On Tuesday I show you some cringe-worthy book titles.
- On Wednesday I review Turtles All the Way Down by John Green.
- On Thursday I do the Book Cake Tag.
In My Reading Life
Yesterday was Dewey’s 24-hour Readathon, so lots of reading
happened last week. I finished The Edible Woman by Margaret Atwood. Then
I read Turtles All the Way Down by
John Green and Escape from Eden by
Elisa Nader.
In The Rest Of My Life
Five things that made me happy last week:
- Dewey’s Readathon was great! It’s a perfect excuse to stay in bed and read all day.
- Another readathon starts today. I’m doing #AutumnReadathon right now. It’s way less intense than Dewey’s, and I like the prompts.
- The dog park wasn’t crowded. I like when it's empty because my dogs don't know how to be normal.
- I’m very close to reaching my Goodreads reading goal for the year, and it’s only October!
- This tweet is basically my life. I make a lot of lists in Word and . . . yeah.
Take care of yourselves and be
kind to each other! See you around the blogosphere!
Wow, you had a busy reading week! Hope you have a another great week!
ReplyDeleteI saw that tweet, too. :) That's hilarious. I hope you had a great time during the readathon.
ReplyDeleteI've been noticing Turtles All the Way Down...and now I definitely want to read it.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your week, and thanks for visiting my blog.
Spending the day in bed reading sounds lovely...maybe when I'm old I'll get chance to x
ReplyDeleteGlad you enjoyed the Dewey's Readathon and congrats on nearly making your Goodreads goal!
ReplyDeleteHere’s my Sunday Post!
Ronyell @ Rabbit Ears Book Blog and join in this week’s Book Photo Sundays!
I wish I could stay in bed and read all day! Ohh the simpler life, I do miss it - especially being a kid. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful week. =)
Alyssa @ The Eater of Books!
Yay for readathons! I can't wait to see what you thought of Turtles. And I absolutely love that tweet about formatting in Word---it's so true!!
ReplyDeleteNicole @ Feed Your Fiction Addiction
I love reading but I don't have the patience for readathons. Come see what I'm reading
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my post! Awesome job on being super close to your goodreads goal! I remember a few years ago I actually surpassed my goal. Ended up reading 15 more than my goal. It was exciting. I've seen a lot of people getting Turtles All the Way Down lately. So far a lot of people seem to be liking it. I might have to pick up a copy myself soon! Enjoy your books!
ReplyDeleteI finally got some great reading done this weekend which is a relief but now have to decide whether to commit to a Feast For Crows or read a few shorter books first. Decisions!
ReplyDeleteThat tweet is hilarious. When Word just won't do what you want. The struggle. You are a readathon beast. Three books is really impressive.
ReplyDeleteI've participated in a few readathons but skipped this one. Maybe in the spring.
ReplyDeleteI have a hard time with readathons. I tend to forget about them until people are posting their final results. Come see my week here. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteI'm curious about 'Turtles,' but since I'm not a John Green die hard fan, I haven't decided if I'll read it or not. Almost picked it up the other day, but decided not too. Not sure I'll have that kind of discipline next time. ;)
ReplyDeleteI've never tried a readathon before, I never feel like I have the time for them :( I got Turtles too last week. Enjoy them all!
