The Sunday Post is hosted by The Caffeinated Book
Reviewer. It’s a chance to recap the past week, talk about next week, and
share news. It’s Monday, What Are You Reading? is hosted by Book Date. I get to
tell you what I’ve read recently.

- On Tuesday I showed you some books I’ve failed to read.
- On Wednesday I reviewed A Love Like Blood by Marcus Sedgwick.
- On Thursday I told you what I did in August.
On The Blog This Week
- On Monday I review A Long Way from Chicago by Richard Peck.
- On Tuesday I show you some forced school reads that weren’t (too) painful.
- On Wednesday I review The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern.
- On Thursday I wrap up August.
In My Reading Life
Last week, I read Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. I have many, many thoughts about
it, so brace yourself for a huge, confusing, spoiler-filled discussion post. I
also read More Happy Than Not by Adam
Silvera. Right now, I’m reading Geek Love
by Katherine Dunn.
In The Rest Of My Life
Five things that made me happy last week:
- I bought books. This is mostly school’s fault, but I’m still excited.
- My school work is slowing down a little. This is both strange and wonderful. It’s been a long, intense summer.
- I filled out my graduation application. It's really happening, guys.
- Mexican food!
- Couch to 5k is back on track. (Well, except for all the Mexican food.) I ran on all the days I was supposed to run and didn’t half-ass the running.
I hope you had a great week! See you around the
blogosphere!
Looking forward to your thoughts on More Happy than Not. Yay for graduation and school slowing down. I have a similar feeling on tacos :) Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteTacos are awesome. Not as awesome as nachos, but still awesome.

Sounds like you had a busy week. Congrats on the couch to 5k progress - I need to do that myself but I keep getting interrupted by work travel.
ReplyDeleteI had to take a week off Couch to 5k because I was busy, but the running hasn’t gotten difficult yet. I like doing it.

The new Harry Potter book? AWESOME!
ReplyDeleteMexican food (nods). Why is it all the Mexican places go out around here? We've lost tw or three lately... so aggravating. anyway congrats on your upcoming graduation! I've been meaning to read The Night Circus but just haven't gotten around to it yet.
ReplyDeleteThanks! If you do read The Night Circus, I hope you like it.

Ah, Mexican food. It's so good! I'm looking forward to your thoughts on Harry Potter and the Cursed Child :)
ReplyDeleteI love tacos! We eat a lot of Mexican at my house and it tends to make me happy as well. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteMexican is something I always seek out when I'm down in the States - we're finally getting a few quality Mexican restaurants where I live, but man, nothing that can compare to what you can get if you're willing to drive across the border!
ReplyDeleteI live in Colorado, so we have tons of Mexican food because the state used to be part of Mexico.

I'm glad the school work is slowing down... but hasn't the school year just started there? (confused)
ReplyDeleteYay for graduating and very well done on getting back into the C25K!
I’m on a nontraditional school schedule. I go during the summer and winter, then I get short breaks in spring and fall. The semester ends in October for me.

OMG I am dying for your post about The Cursed Child! I think you (maybe) know my feelings on it and I can't wait to see if you felt the same way! Have a great week! :D
ReplyDeleteHere's my Weekly Recap!
I was not a huge fan of Cursed Child . . .
