Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. This week’s
topic is top ten songs I think should be books. So, confession time: I know
absolutely nothing about music. I can’t write a coherent post about music
without making myself look like an idiot. I just scrolled through my IPod (yes,
I still own one of those) and picked ten songs that have intriguing plots,
characters, or emotions. If you can’t see the videos below, click the song
title to go to YouTube.
Ten Songs That Should Be Books
1. “The Violet Hour” (Instrumental) – The Civil Wars
2. “Stubborn Love” – The Lumineers
3. “Devil’s Backbone” – The Civil Wars
4. “Simple Pleasures” – Jake Bugg
5. “Watch the World End” – Trace Adkins & Colbie Caillat
6. “I Wanna Get Better” – Bleachers
7. “Creep” – Radiohead
8. “Scar Tissue” – Red Hot Chili Peppers
9. “Mad World” – Adam Lambert
10. “Oasis” – A Great Big World
What song do you think needs to be a book?
I am not that much of a music person either so this week was hard for me. Creep is such a good song!!! I just saw on another post someone pair it with You by Caroline Kepnes and it was a pretty good fit. I also like the Chili Peppers song. Great list!
ReplyDeleteMad World is a great song and the original version by Tears for Fears is just as good, although much faster in tempo. I love music and had a really hard time with this week's theme. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteGreat song choices! Creep is one that I would really be intrigued to see as a book.
ReplyDeleteI haven't heard any of these songs but I did include The Civil Wars in my list. I picked my list just like you, I just put my music on shuffle and picked which ones would make a good book.

The Violet Hour is on my playlist for the novel I'm working on. It has such a great feel to it!
ReplyDeleteThese would make great books, especially Stubborn Love and Devil's Backbone. Nice list!
ReplyDeleteCouldn't agree more on Scar Tissue! Ugh, I love that song!
ReplyDeleteCreep would be perfect!
ReplyDeleteSo many great songs! I think my fav is Creep :)
