FF Friday: In Which I Show You My TBR, And You Tell Me What To Read

Feature & Follow is a weekly blog hop hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read. This week is all about the TBR pile.

For the past few weeks, I’ve been letting a random number generator pick books off my TBR shelf for me to read, but I thought it might be fun if you guys picked out a few for me. Here is my shelf and all of my unread books. Let me know in the comments what I should read and review.

The Library at Mount Char by Scott Hawkins
Fight Club by Chuck Palahniuk
Revolver by Marcus Sedgwick
Losing Faith in Faith by Dan Barker
Leaving Fishers by Margaret Peterson Haddix

There Once Lived a Mother Who Loved Her Children, Until They Moved Back In: Three Novellas about Family by Ludmilla Petrushevskaya
Life As We Knew It by Susan Beth Pfeffer
Make Good Art by Neil Gaiman
The Last Summer of Reason by Tahar Djaout
The Ghosts of Heaven by Marcus Sedgwick

Pygmy by Chuck Palahniuk

  1. That's one big TBR! Then again my book shelf currently consists of 8 books I haven't read so maybe mine is too small to compare. I have only read one of these which was A Gathering of Shadows and I lovedlovedloved it!

  3. That's one impressive TBR! I would say A Gathering of Shadows by V.E. Schwab for sure! I really enjoyed that book. Good luck reading them all! :)

  4. Ooooh! You should read Ghosts of Heaven! I've been wanting to try that one for quite awhile so I'd be interested to see what you think!

  5. I have It on my ever-growing list as well. Anything by Stephen King is perfect for this time of year. Have a great weekend!

  6. I vote for The Library at Mount Char. Fight Club would be my second choice.

  7. I read the whole Last Survivors series last year and really enjoyed them - up until the last book at least, so I suggest you read Life As We Knew It by Susan Beth Pfeffer first. Me Before You is great too obviously. :)

  8. I haven't read IT but I saw IT what I was a little girl and I have no plans to read it. The movie was enough to scar me for life, I can only imagine the book version. >.<

  9. Haven't read it, but I'd be interested in a review of Does My Head Look Big in This? by Randa Abdel-Fattah.

  10. So, I haven't actually read any of these, gasp! But I want to read Ghosts of Heaven, Me Before You, and AGOS, so my pick is for one of those. OH wait no, I was wrong, I DID read Life as We Knew It. It's super dark, but was good. I never continued because I heard bad things about the last book though, so Idk if that sways your opinion! Hope you enjoy one of these- well, all of them eventually ;)

Also- are these ALL the books you haven't read? Because if so... I am CRAZY impressed. Only 24 books? Like, you're my hero.

  11. I say you read either IT or The Wind-Up Chronicle. Both are big books, but IT is probably bigger. I remember reading it in high school and loving most of it. But you've already read tons of Stephen King! Right? Ok, I vote Murakami, then.

  12. [ An aside...now how did I NOT see/remember that blessed last name of yours? It's spelled the way MINE is pronounced in German???!! You think we might be related?]

As a retired minister, of course I will tell you Joseph Campbell! You know that his other work, Hero with a Thousand Faces,is the root of "Star Wars: A New Hope". I know Ihave read a few of your others as well

  13. Second votes for Life As We Knew it and the Campbell. Umpteenth vote for Schwab. I haven't read any Sedgwick, so I'd love to hear what you think about those. Leaving Fishers is by the always solid-if-not-amazing Haddix, and again, I'd like your take on it in terms of adding it to my classroom collection. Since I'm hoping to get to Station Eleven in the next few weeks, I'm adding that to yours as well AND I must have heard about the Petrushevkaya collections on this blog, because I have them on my to-read list as well. Awesome titles.

  14. I vote for Schwab and Moyes, mostly because I haven't read any of the others. (Actually I haven't read AGoS either, but I loved This Savage Song, so I'm just assuming it's awesome.)
