It's not the end of the year yet, but we're getting close, which means it's time to do The End Of The Year Book Tag. Hopefully these six questions will help me (and you) organize our reading lives before the year is over. It's time to get our butts in gear and smash our reading goals, people!
If you want to answer these questions on your blog, go for it. Consider yourself tagged. You still have a few weeks before the year is really over!
The End Of The Year Book Tag
1. Are there any books you started this year that you need to finish?
Butts: A Backstory by Heather Radke. It's a nonfiction book about butts! I don't know why it's taking me so long to read because I'm enjoying it way more than I thought I would. The part I'm reading right now is about fashion trends and the history of women's clothing. It's surprisingly interesting.
2. Do you have an autumnal book to transition to the end of the year?
I have a spooky book! Spooky is autumnal, right? The Deep by Alma Katsu. It's alternate history horror fiction about something haunting the Titanic.
3. Is there a new release you're still waiting for?
I don't know! I'm bad at paying attention to new releases! I never remember when things are coming out. I don't have any books preordered right now. (I don't think? Sometimes I forget I ordered stuff until it shows up at my house.)
4. Three books you want to read before the year ends?
My Nonfiction November plans got slightly derailed by headaches and fatigue, so I'm extending Nonfiction November into Nonfiction December. Here's what I want to read:
Everything Is Tuberculosis: The History And Persistence Of Our Deadliest Infection by John Green
5. Do you own an unread book that could become your favorite of the year?
All the books on my shelf could become favorites. That's why they're on the shelf. Ummm . . . maybe Everything Is Tuberculosis: The History And Persistence Of Our Deadliest Infection by John Green. It won the Nonfiction category of the Goodreads Choice Awards, so other people like it.
6. Have you started making reading plans for next year?
Kind of. Back in 2024, I challenged myself to read happier books. Maybe I'll do that again. If you have happy book recommendations, I'd love to hear them.
Also, I want to read a lot more nonfiction. My nonfiction to-be-read list is ridiculous.
