Have you ever read a book and loved it so much that you added all the author's other books to your must-read list? That happens to me all the time! This was a very easy list to make because tons of authors immediately popped into my head. Here are the first ten I wrote down.
I Need More Books From These Authors
T. Kingfisher. I like the fun blend of humor and horror in Nettle & Bone. It surprised me in the best possible way.
Ed Yong. I Contain Multitudes is an extremely accessible biology book. Even a dum dum like me can understand it. And it's not boring! Bonus points for making science fascinating.
F.T. Lukens. Another funny author. So This Is Ever After will make you smile. The characters have great intentions and chaotic energy.
Heather Fawcett. I usually hate romance, but the quirky couple in Emily Wilde's Encyclopaedia Of Faeries didn't make me throw up in my mouth. They don't let their romantic drama throw them off their academic goals.
Rumaan Alam. I haven't experienced an apocalypse (yet), but if I did, it would probably be similar to the apocalypse in Leave The World Behind. That book gave me nightmares.
Seanan McGuire. The synopsis of Every Heart A Doorway sounds sweet, but the plot is surprisingly dark. I always appreciate unexpected death and destruction.
Sayaka Murata. The main character of Convenience Store Woman will live inside my head forever. She's odd, but in a very logical way. The world needs to leave Keiko alone!
Amor Towles. Another author with a talent for developing complicated characters. If you love off-the-wall adventure stories, you need to read The Lincoln Highway.
Silvia Moreno-Garcia. I don't want to give away spoilers, but the end of Mexican Gothic haunts me.
Oyinkan Braithwaite. My Sister, The Serial Killer is possibly the best book title ever. I love how the author explores complex social and family dynamics.
Which authors do you want to read more from?
