I love the holidays and want to spread holiday cheer. (We could all use some cheer in 2020, right?) I’m giving away a $100 (US dollars) Book Depository shopping spree. The winner can choose one expensive book or a ton of cheap books. Whatever they want! The giveaway is open internationallyas long as Book Depository ships to your country for free.

    My favorite fiction read this year (so far) was Creatures by Crissy Van Meter.
    Favorite nonfiction was Children of the Land by Marcelo Hernandez Castillo.

  3. Aw, I love that you do this. It's so kind!! A couple books I LOVED this year was the Adult Mystery The Suicide House by Charlie Donlea and the MG fantasy novel Thieves of Weirdwood.

  4. Your so generous! Best book read this year? It’s hard, as I read a number of good ones: Andy Rooney, “MY WAR” is probably my favorite, but John Barry’s “The Great Influenza” is the one to best prepare me for this year!

  6. I read the Goblin Emperor by Katherine Addison (I think) earlier this year and really enjoyed it. I'd recommend that and all the Discworld books I've read so far. I'm really enjoying them. I've only read 3 of the Witches ones so far. Hilarious!

  12. Rough year yet I’ve had a great reading year so far. Read classics Dracula and Jane Eyre for the first time. Newer favourites include The Jane Austen Society, The Vanishing Half, Hamnet. And Say Nothing in nonfiction audiobook. Audiobooks have been fab this year when my reading brain wouldn’t cooperate. Grateful for the Libby app and my local library system! ๐Ÿงก

  28. Wow that is quite a prize! The best books I read this year could well be Paddington Bear. It's been a rotten year for me and my dad with losing my uncle and Paddington put a smile on my face with each book I read and made things a little better some days. I recommend him to everyone!

  31. Oh my gosh this is the most amazing giveaway, hugs! I think my favorite book this year is From Blood and Ash by JLA and it's sequel. For contemporary it's a tie between Not Another Love Song by Olivia Wildenstein and The Best Mistake by Cookie O'Gorman ♥.

  32. I enjoyed The Foundling by Stacey Halls. I think it is published under the title of The Lost Orphan in the USA. It was a change from my usual genres (crime, mystery, thriller and suspense)

  41. Hmmm, I really loved Geography of Lost Things by Jessica Brody, and I finally finished reading The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes which took me like 2 1/2 months. XD But I actually enjoyed it a lot more than I was expecting!
