I love the reasoning for one set in Colorado as well :P The bookish challenge struggles for sure. And I'm all up for those lesser known wars or elements of struggle in countries that go unknown. And while it isn't really an actual ancient civilization (but a fictional one) you might like the novella "Herland" by Charlotte Perkins Gilman. As for Neanderthals, I'm sure the closest we can come are all those Jean M. Auel Earth's Children novels (Clan of the Cave Bear, et.al.). There are quite a few ancient cities I'd like to visit as well, and it would be amazing to see what the world was like before humanity evolved, and destroyed it all. Maybe it would give us a better understanding of how much destruction we cause.

My TTT: https://dysfanreads.blogspot.co.uk/2017/12/top-ten-tuesday-12.htmlDystopia Fantasy Readshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01448065012078692094noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8193309628838073849.post-57995964973279520592017-12-09T01:46:46.646-07:002017-12-09T01:46:46.646-07:00I don't think there are any books set in my to...I don't think there are any books set in my town either!chucklesthescothttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09423562114343636659noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8193309628838073849.post-6238026171429964762017-12-08T22:10:32.139-07:002017-12-08T22:10:32.139-07:00Oh I like your twist on this topic.
