I kind of dig the northern European thing, so I was adding White Darkness to my TBR, then I read the description and realized I read this some time ago. I'm pretty convinced that I would at least be interested in most books you've enjoyed. There's not way to pick a favorite non-US book, but I do know when I visited London many years ago, it felt strangely familiar after all the books I've read that were set there, over centuries.
